I grew up on a farm with Labrador Retrievers and Jack Russell Terriers. I have never been without dogs and cats in my life. When I lost my Jack Russell 7 years ago, I was heartbroken and wasn't sure I would ever be ready for another dog. In December 2018 I started searching for a Labrador Retriever. I was finally ready. There were two breeders about an hour away, but there was something that drew me to RLF. They were 7 1/2 hours away, but I had to go there first. When I met Kayla and Cody, I knew they were very serious about their dogs and having the best qualities in their labs. The dogs were so well behaved, beautiful, and smart. I sat on the floor and one chocolate male puppy "Thor" crawled into my lap, nuzzled me, licked my face and fell asleep. He chose me and I was in love. "Thor" became Rayne. He has grown into the most beautiful, loving, loyal, energetic , smart lab. He loves his "big sister" black cat Raven, is great with kids, isn't a barker, will leave a plate of food alone, and isn't afraid of bad weather, loud noises, or fireworks, and is the love of my life. Kayla and Cody know exactly what qualities to breed into their puppies. I am glad I made the drive from Florida to North Georgia! So worth it!
